Made from hollowed gourds wrapped in a lattice of durable plastic beads, this shekere is played by shaking or twisting it to get shaker and rattle sounds and by hitting the bottom of the body with the palm of the hand to get drum-like bass tones.

The timbale stand is height-adjustable and comes equipped with a die-cast tilter that firmly locks in for either straight or tilted playing. The shells are made of genuine stainless steel with a distinct black shine coat, producing a very bright and cutting cascara sound.
